I'VE BEEN SLEEPING IN MY BED!!!! HO HEY!!!

Well guys, It's finally Friday! I must admit, I have been randomly bursting out in song...all day!!!! BAH HA! No joke...the song Ho Hey, by The Lumineers. Have you heard it? It's so good! BUT seriously, I have got to learn more words to this song. Picture this...a girl(me) sitting at a teller window looking at her computer screen....trying to cash a check. When all of a sudden, BAM! I start singing, not from the top of my lungs, BUT...pretty loudly and completely out of tune...."I'VE BEEN SLEEPING IN MY BED...HUM, HUM, HUM...HO HEY....YOU'RE MY SWEETHEART!!!". My teller supervisor, just looks at me and starts laughing. Yeah, it was that bad! So without further a due, and with much anticipation. I give you The Lumineers....

Hey! I like your hat!

Hey peeps! So if you remember, the other night...I was talking about the $5.00 gift, for the Christmas party. Well I made a snowman hat. The bottom was a "free" used pizza box. The top part of the hat, was an old flour canister. I had my husband cut it down to size. I had greenery already on hand, and  material to make the bow (free). The flour canister with the plug-in candle cost $.82 at a thrift store. I also picked of some moss looking stuff for a $.25, and some felt material for a $1.00. Don't you just love thrift stores? I bought some epsom salts for $.88 at Wal-mart. The styrofoam, is what cost the most. However, I got 3 uses out of it. ($5.88/3=$1.96) The glue, was less then $4.00.  Plus the wrapping was free...the girls at the U-Save drugstore, hooked me up!!! In the end, the hat was a big hit. I even had a few orders put in! What was the best present you ever got, playing Chinese Christmas?

Meet the Hanes Family

So last Tuesday, was our Chinese Christmas party, at work. First, we all headed to Sweet Tooth Cafe...(a must "eat at place" if you ever come to Rogersville) for some out of this world, great food! Then after our bellies were full, it was time to get down to business. The PRESENTS of course! Now keep in mind the gifts were only $5.00. So needless to say....some of us had to get a little crafty!

My good friend, and co-worker, Shana, is very smart and talented! She too, lives in BUDGETVILLE, and knows how to stretch a dollar! Shana, made a few snowman....out of socks and rice! They were just so dang cute, that I had to make a few of my very own! So what do think?
