New Batteries...New Blood Pressure Pills...NO MORE TEARS!!

So yesterday was a a bomb....we won't go in to it! I"ll just tell you we won't know the sex of the baby until the end of December. "Why?", you ask because...my Dr. said so, that's why. (And I guess that is suppose to be good enough).  Oh well, I guess he knows best. He also gave me some new BP pills, THANK GOD!! I was going nuts...also my BP was still high, this time the highest it has ever been 164/106.  For all you lucky people out there who have never had to deal with high BP problems and don't know what is normal...1st congrats, I hope you never have BP problems. ( I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy) 2nd the normal BP is 120/80, and honestly I think that's considered high normal these days. So needless to say I was an emotional wreck. CRYING all over the place!! BLESS my husband! I know he will receive a crown in heaven, for just putting up with me!  He really has been great through all this!! So moving right along....I am glad to report that I got new batteries for my camera, in order to show off my new creation! My primitive snowman hat is finished....WHAT DO YOU THINK!!! I LOVE IT!!!

The way I made my hat was by taking a empty Planters peanut can and cleaning it out. I then took some Modge Podge and used a sponge paint brush and coated it well....I took some black material and wrapped it around the can and pressed for a few seconds working the wrinkles out so the fabric would lay smooth.

The one I made!

I then reached for a dinner plate and a piece of cardboard that I had found and traced the plate to make a template.  I then took some scissors, cut it out and applied the Modge Podge and fabric to it again smoothing out the wrinkles I hot glued the back of the fabric to the other side just to be safe.  Then I hot glued both pieces together. After that I tied some fabric around for a bow and hot glued it to...then got some styrofoam pieces and stuffed the top with it. I bought a candle and some greenery and went to town decorating how I wanted...and TAH...DAH! A Primitive Snowman Hat!

Example one I found

"Will it be a BOY, or will it be a GIRL?" !!

So tomorrow me and hubby are off to our baby doctor apt. to hopefully find out what our bundle of joy will be! I think we are both pretty excited...To put it best we act like a couple of kids waiting to open presents on Christmas morning! If I do find out I am going to have to call about a million and one people before lunch...I think my whole family is on pins and needles!! I do hope one thing happens tomorrow though...I hope they tell me my blood pressure is ok and that their is no protein in my urine...yes I am dreading the possible word, "preeclampsia" . Lets hope for a good report!

I also wanted to show you all something...I came across this photo this weekend, I love this old hat... it's so cute! So I  tried my hand at making a similar one...but I still need to go get a light. So hopefully after I get the light and a new set of batteries for my camera, I will be able to share the end result...just in case you want to make one too! Prim Blessings!

Help...They need to invent "Blogger for Dummies!"

Ok so I am no stranger to blogging. I actually have been doing this for about a year now, and I still can not figure out my Header/Title. I would like to add a picture and a text, but it never looks right. When I find a picture that's the right size, then you can't see the text. Their is no place to change the color, of the text or the height (or is their?) so it just gets lost in the image...so am I doing something wrong? I need help...anyone to the rescue I would be grateful!

BLINK...BLINK...BLINK...ok where is it...I know it's in here somewhere!

Hey guys! First of all, Linda (Parker's Paradise) I mailed your package today so be on the look-out for it!! I hope it arrives in one piece!

Ok so last night I was sitting on the couch when all of a sudden out of the corner of my eye the christmas tree had caught mt attention.  I asked my husband (who is sitting beside me) I said did those lights on the tree just BLINK...he was like "DUH, they have been doing that ever since you put the tree up!". I was like UH NO! I then got up from the couch and made my way to the 1 strand out of 6 that was blinking. I looked all around, up and down, inside and out of the tree and guess what...No BLINKING light bulb with the red tip was to be found...last year, the tree had the same lights and they didn't BLINK! I don't get it? I thought maybe the strand has a short in it so I moved then up and down and you guessed it all around and they still BLINKED...with no cause of a short...I just don't get it...but I do know it's a pain in my rear! I can't take it ...it's killing me...LOL!! It reminds me of when the power would go out and the green clock on the VCR would BLINK, BLINK, and no one ever new how to rest the darn thing!! LOL!

By the way I am so excited I was looking on Craigslist and found a baby crib for $75.00 it turns into a day bed and comes with bedding and a mattress...and get this it was only 13 miles away from my house. I did go and take a look at it and it was in pretty good shape! It had a few marks, but nothing deep...I had bought a pack of those furniture markers awhile back but I don't think I have the right colors they seem to always turn out to dark on things...Maybe I 'm doing it wrong, I would appreciate any ideas or suggestion on how to fix dings, or scratches! So hopefully I can go pick it up tomorrow...what do you all think is it a good deal? The lady said as far as she knew it had never had a re-call problem and she said she paid around $400.00 for it. I am a first time mom so any comments would help!!!

Well everyone I hope you have had a blessed day!  and with that said I'll see ya soon!

Christmas times a comin!

Hey everyone.....I am so excited, I am about to jump out of my skin! I went to my local thrift stores today, and to a big to-do, fancy, shmancy, prim shop and took a mental picture to try and re-create some of the items for 2 reasons  1.) since there is no cameras allowed inside and 2.) Every thing is VERY PRETTY, but its also got a PRETTY PRICE on it too! So a girls gotta do whatta girls gotta do and it's not "GO BIG or GO HOME!". It's "Go CHEAP and Pass the Glue Gun!". And I don't mean to brag, but boy O' boy did I hit the mother load today...Thank ya Jesus! So after I got home and pulled out my tree, all the decorations from years past, all my new goodies and wait...where is it....Awe! There it is the GLUE GUN  and got busy! The ideas just started flowing and I am pretty happy with the results. I'm almost done I just need to put the frosting on my touches and add the cherry and it will be perfect! Tomorrow I will be glad to post you some pic's but right now the PREGO lady is a little tired......so I am going to put my feet up, say goodnight and wish you all pleasant dreams.....also don't forget, Sunday is the last day to sign-up for the Give Away! Good Luck!

Can't Wait To Get Started...Again!

O shoot! I have been visiting all these blogs and I am so excited about being back...I would love to start on some new crafts and do some tutorials but my sister-in-law has our camera.  My husband has one that I bought him for his B-day, he said I could use it but...I don't think this is such a good idea!. The way I see it is, me and technology go together bought as well as a  3 year old playing with a magic marker! LOL!  The reason why these markers are so magical is because it is amazing when they actually get used for there intended purpose while not destroying anything else. So with all that said, I'll just wait on the other camera (the one I now how to use-sort of). Also I'm so glad to see 2 familiar faces back around, THANKS GUYS for following along again!
