Oh My...Feet! (If you don't like feet...look away!)

Ok...I know you really don't care about seeing my feet...but I am shocked! I can't believe the difference! You really want to know what is bad?  I used to cut hair & I could stand on my feet for hours, NOT NOW! I THANK GOD FOR A SIT DOWN JOB!

Hello all! I hope everyone is ready for Christmas? I am not completely done...I seem to get it all done at the last second! Well I don't know if you all know but I won the Giveaway that Lori from theblackcrow had put on...it was the three stockings and a tree skirt! I was so happy to have won! (I don't have either...stockings or a tree skirt, and thought it would be perfect to win...one stocking for hubby, one for me, and one for our baby to be...of course next year!) Whenever I found out that I had won... I was making breakfast, for dinner in the kitchen. Hubby was on the couch reading a newspaper in the living room. I had just put the biscuits in the oven and started to heat up the skillet on the stove to scramble some eggs.  I then turned on the computer to check out every ones blogs.  I was looking at my side bar reading all the post titles when I read on Lori's We have a winner and a partridge in a pear tree/pie...I got bummed, (I know...really sportsman like of me!) I thought someone from A partridge in a pear tree blog won...LOL! This is how dumb I am! But I kept reading and found out the winner was me! I about died...I have never won anything in my whole life! I then begin to scream with joy...however, my husband must of thought I was sreaming for another reason  (like our dinner being on fire...but it wasn't) because he came running into the kitchen, asking "What's wrong? I then had to explain that I had won a giveaway!  So needless to say I am very excited and can't wait to post pictures of the prizes on my blog! I also found out that Lori has a thing for 3's....she has two mashers and needs a 3rd one. Well guess what? I found one for her! My winnings!!



I am such a pansy!

When I came home on Thursday I felt  fine. Then around 8:00 that night I started hurting. Well I hurt ALL day Friday...a few times the cramps even brought tears to my eyes...nothing major, but I WAS GETTING NERVOUS! And it's my first child, I'm clueless! I hadn't felt the baby move all day, and the pain was not real bad, just uncomfortable! ( for example- if a needle would prick you once, no big deal! If a needle pricks you all day long ...need I say more?) When I would walk or bend down it would get worse. So on my lunch I called April, my sister-in -law and asked her what she thought...she called a nurse and she said we should come in just to check. I did not want to leave work. I think my poor manager didn't even eat lunch and we had a girl leave early already. Another girl was on vacation, so it was going to leave them really short handed! So I told my S-I-L not to worry. If I felt like I needed to go, I would call her back...well around 3:00 I called her back, told her to find my hubby and come get me...Fear of the unknown was getting the best me of me (I told her I'm sure, every thing is just fine but I wanted to be sure!). So needless to say my hubby got to me 1st, he was probably making 90 down the 4-lane! And on to the hospital we went...


A nurse came in asked me a million and one questions and checked  me out .  She took my blood pressure and put monitors on my belly.The Doctor then came in and told me I was fine, that  my ligaments were just stretching and that it was completely normal! So needless to say...I was glad it was nothing and that every thing was normal, but know I just feel like a PANSY! Oh well ...I have a feeling if I go into labor naturally...then I am going to wait till I am on my hands and knees, crawling...before I even think about going to the hospital! 

By the way if my mom reads this I'm sorry I didn't call you...no need to worry...nothing was wrong! LOVE YOU MOM!

I asked..."How was your day?", He replied..."I got summoned for jury duty!"

Hey all! Well my hubby told me he got a summons for jury duty today in the mail...and guess what day it's on?   Yep, you guessed it...January the 4th...Ha Ha!  It is on the same day... (and time) when we are supposed to have the ultra-sound that tells the sex of our baby! Noah, my husband said he wasn't going to show... in court. I was like, yes you are!  Failure to appear...could result in being held in contempt,or being fined up to $500.00 plus court costs! Trust me he is going to court...I'll just re-schedule! It's not the end of the world! I believe our little sprout wishes to remain anonymous until his or her big day...LOL!

Ok also I finished my spoons like 3 days ago...just didn't post them.  Also, I have had a spoon holder forever and have never put it up...just never have found the right place for it yet

Here they are painted...after I painted them I distressed , stained, and grubbed them up with modge podge and cinnamon. Next I sprayed them with a clear coat (matte finish).



Peek-A-Boo, I Sort of See You!

Hello my fellow Kindred Primitives...Well I know it has been awhile since I last posted, but I have been busy lately! Since the last time we have chatted I have worked a 40 hr week, went on a date with my husband( yeah! love date night), saw two movies (Due Date and Tangled... I give both movies a 2 thumbs up!), had  another Dr.'s Apt., done a lot of washing...to dishes, to clothes, to you name it...and a little bit of crafting! WHEW...I'm tired!

Ok so today it snowed... and it snowed good by the morning we should have 4 to 6in. of snow....if the weatherman is correct! (I hope he is...hee, hee!) 
I have had my computer on all day today and in between doing 2 loads of dishes and now on my 5th...yes I said 5th load of laundry...(good thing it's just me and my husband for now! LOL!) I have been reading every ones post and making new friends...I have enjoyed looking and reading at all you have to share! Some 2x's!!

Then when I got a moment  this week and today...I crafted some. I worked on a few old spoons  (I'm still not done) but here is a few pics of them...need to grubby this bad babies up now! 



Also no worries I have been working on my little cabinet with the fake drawers, but it is going to take me awhile I am doing it white and it is taking a  few more coats then I thought.  Then after that's finished I am going to make it look old by staining and distressing it...I hope it turns out I am actually really nervous about it, my white projects tend to FAIL! (Boo)

I also had a GOOD REPORT this time at the Dr.'s...the new BP pills are working great and with fingers crossed I will share with you all next year the babies sex...LOL!  (Jan. the 4th)...I could do a give away/ guessing game...will see!

also hubby had drill this weekend and he came home all pooped out...I think I see him

It's Snowing....I'm Thinking A Indoor Project

Hello y'all! Well being prego the first place I head off to in the mornings is the bathroom....I went down the hall and rounded the corner  to be smacked in the face with a million Snowflakes coming down outside my bathroom window!!

 I had planned on doing an outside project today...but hey, I have lots of projects so I think I'll stick to an indoor one...BURR!!!

Me and hubby took a little day trip to Kentucky and on the way back we stopped at this little hole in the wall antique shop, right on the side of the mountain. I found this little piece for $22.00!

Ok with every project that I do, I always run it by the BANK GALS....(The BG, like me love anything and everything to do with Prims, or projects.) So one of my co-workers, Pat took one look at this little ticket, fell in love with it and said, " I'll give you $30.00 for it, as is....I had to politely refuse. She then said, "You know it's worth more with out paint, you are just going to ruin its value."....to who?  If I keep this piece and do nothing with it, but just leave it to collect dust, then its value is worth nothing. Right? You can't put a price tag on something that makes you happy....Money isn't everything....doing something you love....priceless
